Nintendo Switch 2 price comparison

The Switch 2 is Nintendo's current hybrid console. Here you can compare offers for the console on its own and in bundles – new and used.

What the Switch 2 offers

The Nintendo Switch 2 has been available since 5 June 2025. It has a 7.9-inch LCD with Full HD resolution and up to 120 Hz, 256 GB of internal storage and, when docked, outputs up to 4K to the TV. The Joy-Con 2 attach magnetically and can also be used like a mouse.

Storage can only be expanded with microSD Express cards. The Switch 2 can use the normal microSD cards from the first Switch only to a limited extent, for example for screenshots – games cannot be launched from them.

Backward compatibility and game-key cards

Most games from the first Switch also run on the Switch 2, some even with improvements. A few titles are not compatible or only partly so. Some games are released as game-key cards: the card only holds a key, and the actual game is downloaded. When buying games, look out for the corresponding notice on the case.

  • Display: 7.9-inch LCD, Full HD, up to 120 Hz
  • Storage: 256 GB, expandable via microSD Express
  • TV mode: up to 4K in the dock (depending on the game)

Console only or bundle, new or used?

Bundles with a game can be cheaper than buying the console and game separately – compare the total. With a used Switch 2, it is worth checking the receipt and warranty, because the console is still young. Check the condition of the display and the Joy-Con 2, and whether the dock and power adapter are included. You are better off avoiding suspiciously cheap offers for supposedly new consoles.

Accessories and storage for the Switch 2

The 256 GB of internal storage is enough for a few big games, but it gets tight with lots of downloads. Then plan for a microSD Express card – look for the Express logo, otherwise the card will not work for games. For online play you need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription. A protective case and a screen protector make sense on the go. Existing Pro Controllers and many accessories from the first Switch can still be used, which saves money when you upgrade.
